Monitoring of the El Morro canals continues

As part of the preliminary evaluation activities that Fundación La Tortuga has been developing for more than two years in the canals of Lechería, a previous step for the development of the Water Quality Evaluation Project of the Canals of the El Morro Tourist Complex, a new field trip was made to relocate the positions of the stations that will be used for this monitoring, as well as to add others in areas that were not initially foreseen.

The objective of this project is to determine, in detail and on a scientific basis, the current situation of the water quality of the navigation channels, in which, over the years, an increase in degradation has been observed. Alberto Boscari, Gaizkale Garay, Jose Voglar, and Rafael Diaz participated in this field trip, carrying out the activity onboard one of the foundation’s boats.
