Aquatic festival promotes environmental preservation
Over the years, tourism and adventure sports activities have established a symbiosis with programs aimed at improving, maintaining, and recovering the environment. "In this opportunity, Luis Vidal and the rest of the people of the organizing committee asked us to present the concepts for the conformation of an NGO, today we shared with the members of AHOTANZ, and it was very rich this exchange because they could know and expand what they already knew to promote an ecological conscience from the hotels" expressed Gaiskale Garay, member of La Tortuga Foundation.
One of the aspects that have characterized La Tortuga Foundation, during its long time at the forefront of the struggle to conserve the environment, has been the way in which they have worked to carry their message, seeking to make it effective without being boring and disinterested.
"At the moment we are seeing a small light at the end of the tunnel, despite the fact that significant damage continues to be generated by all of us human beings, we have seen significant changes to avoid this negative impact. Today, from a very early age, people are getting involved in environmental conservation work. We have a pilot recycling project, where very young children are carrying out significant changes," said Garay.
Mochima honored
One of the emblems of eastern Venezuela when it comes to tourist attractions is Mochima National Park, which is about to celebrate its 41st anniversary and is a faithful recipient of countless visitors year after year. For this reason, as part of the celebration of the Foundation’s 10th anniversary, they are going to carry out activities aimed at paying tribute to this piece of "maritime paradise" that Venezuelans have.
"We will be 10 years old next year as a Foundation, and we want people to know our work and what we have achieved in a different way. We are working for next December in the assembly of an event that seeks to raise awareness about Mochima National Park, which will be the main protagonist of this celebration," he concluded.
