Tortuga Foundation’s First Environmental Film Series Continues

Different points of view will be screened to awaken the critical sense of moviegoers about the responsibility that falls, or not, on the human race on the issue of the so-called climate change.
During the months of November and December, La Tortuga Foundation and the Dimitrios Demu Museum invite all their friends and the general theturtlefoundation to their First Environmental Film Series. During four Wednesdays at the cultural center, at 7:00 pm, a different documentary will be screened which, from the hand of various researchers, will address the issue of the ecological problem facing the planet, its causes, consequences, the advice that man can follow to mitigate the impacts, as well as the politicization of energy technologies and their economic interest.

Wednesday, November 4: HOME.
Film composed entirely of aerial photographs from different parts of the world. It shows the diversity of life on Earth and how human activities have become a threat to its existence.
Wednesday, November 11: THE LAST HOUR
Documentary produced by Leonardo DiCaprio that delves into the consequences that the planet suffers because of the so-called climate change and the mercantilist roots that probably originate it.
Wednesday, November 25: AN UNCOMFORTABLE TRUTH
Film that awarded former U.S. Vice President Al Gore the Nobel Peace Prize, in which he explains the effects of man’s activity on the Earth for many years.
Wednesday, December 02: THE GLOBAL WARMING THREAT
Production that presents scientific arguments that deny that CO2 produced by human activity is the cause of the so-called climate change, constituting this as a theory to lead economic markets.
