Creativity reigned in Ambientarrrt 2010 event

La Tortuga Foundation (FLT) through its Ambientarrrt program celebrated Earth Day with a small show where creativity reigned. Despite power failures that delayed the activity scheduled at the Dimitrios Demu Museum, the event took place under an ecological environment and carried the conservationist message that is the north of this Non-Governmental Organization.

The animated fantasy began with a performance in which Mother Earth and the human race met face to face, interpreted by Jesús Bravo and Nancy Marcano. Then, the video art, by Hernán Troconis and Ricardo Miranda, invited to raise awareness about the problem of plastic bags, which are not used correctly and end up in the waters of the oceans and rivers.

Art took over in a second performance that combined dance and dramatization. The basic principle of the "three R’s": reduce, reuse and recycle, came to life on stage with the number starring Jesús Bravo, Carla Lupini, and Roberth Bracho. To close, models from Gerardo Mudarra’s academy paraded ecological designs that teach how to turn waste materials into ornaments and clothing.

The evening, directed by Ricardo Gil, Roberth Bracho, and Chelo Nogueira, was enlivened by the musical group Excorde, who performed songs by well-known artists such as Sin Bandera, Camila, and Franco de Vita, as well as a piece of their own that was composed to pay tribute to planet Earth.

Chelo Nogueira, vice president of FLT and leader of the Ambientarrrt project, and Alberto Boscari, president of the foundation, congratulated and applauded the patience of the theturtlefoundation who waited for almost two hours for the event to begin, and thanked them for attending this activity that seeks to promote sensitivity to the environment.
