World Earth Day, a day of fun and reflection
On Sunday, April 22nd at the Central Plaza of the Plaza Mayor Shopping Center, La Tortuga Foundation presented the program "Objective Earth 2012" where children and adults could enjoy the fabulous books made by the children of the José Ángel Montero Educational Unit, made with different materials: some from reuse (lids, cans, plastics...), others from elements extracted directly from nature (pistachio shells, flowers, leaves, branches...) through which they took us through diverse manifestations of nature, birds, trees, butterflies, etc.

We were accompanied by the group of Scouts Don Bosco "always ready" to support all the logistics that were required during the day. The KPMG Foundation was present giving workshops to the little ones and creating some nice and colorful maracas, which together with the exhibition of the achievements of Fundación la Tortuga, demonstrated once again that packaging "is not garbage, it’s material".
At the end of the evening, the musical by Yanneth Hurtado with Nicolai W., interpreting "Look at the World" by John Rutter, opened the evening. Next, those present enjoyed the performance of Trees for Peace by Jesús Bravo, and finally, they were moved by the manifestation of the Earth through "ECOS" directed by Robert Bracho, all of them presented by the charming Maria Laura Ceccato who emphasized the importance of caring for and preserving our beautiful planet.
