Fundación La Tortuga’s Vacation Plan called "EcoRecreo 2015" was welcomed by parents and representatives who, year after year, are eager to enroll their children so that they can learn to value nature more.

This year the work with the 3Rs was not left out, a fundamental pillar of the organization’s message, which feels that through manual work with reusable materials (previously considered waste) it is possible to transform the mentality that we have about them.

Considering everything we use or throw away as garbage is a mistake. There are countries where the transformation of all these objects, packaging, and waste means significant income and the elimination of extracting more raw materials from the planet.

The children who visited the institution took a walk through the reuse workshops where they built toys such as airplanes, plastic cars, jewelry with paper and plastic, and the botanical touch could not be left behind with the planting of seeds. They also enjoyed dance therapy classes, digital photography, and the accompaniment of a recreation teacher for real playtime.

They shared a very fun week according to their comments and their desire to repeat it, so the organizers decided to extend the experience for another week.

Fundación La Tortuga thanks all the representatives who year after year place their trust in the hands of the members of this organization, which first and foremost offers a more sincere approach to nature conservation.
