Dr. Lisbeth Bethelmy has joined Fundación La Tortuga’s team to expand the radius of positive action developed by La Tortuga Foundation.
This Venezuelan psychologist graduated from UCAB and with advanced studies in Psychology applied to environmental issues at the Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain, comes to feed the work of awareness and awareness for the environment that develops the Foundation: Doctor in social and organizational behavior and researcher in the area of environmental psychology.
Experience in university teaching, psychosocial and environmental scientific research, measurement and detection of needs, research design, surveys, databases, quantitative and qualitative analysis. Interest in the area of Psychology for Nature Conservation, environment, sustainable development, ecological values, quality of life, human development, strategic planning, and Corporate Social Responsibility.
She has participated as a researcher in important projects, such as:
- Associate Researcher at the Center for Institutional Research and Evaluation of the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB), Caracas, Venezuela. Project: Promotion of pro-environmental beliefs and attitudes in the teaching and administrative staff of UCAB.
- Researcher in the project: "Landscape preference and nature experience. Psychological and social effects of the contemplation of natural and naturalized environments", funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, Madrid, Spain.
- Researcher at the Technical University of Manabí, Ecuador. Design of socio-environmental projects.
- Researcher at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Department of Social Psychology and Methodology. Madrid, Spain.
- Researcher of the project entitled: "Levels of information about energy and attitudes towards energy saving in Spain", financed by the company Red Eléctrica de España. Madrid, Spain.
