Thousands of meters have been traveled on La Tortuga Island to make observations and counts of resident and migratory birds, as part of the avifauna study that La Tortuga Foundation has been carrying out in this Federal Unit since 2008, headed by the specialist Gedio Marín Espinoza. To date, hundreds of individuals have been tagged and new records have been made for the region, particularly highlighting waders, grouped in the order Charadriiformes.
Different points of view will be screened to awaken the critical sense of moviegoers about the responsibility that falls, or not, on the human race on the issue of the so-called climate change.
Lechería - Last Thursday night, November 12, Fundación La Tortuga presented at its headquarters its latest initiative: Ambientarrrt, an attractive proposal that combines fashion and ecology, by the hand of designers highly sensitized to the environmental problems facing the planet.

From Friday June 20th to Tuesday June 24th La Tortuga Foundation shared its most recent advances and upcoming projects at the eighth edition of Exponáutica, a showcase of maritime innovations and productive alliances that each year brings together more than 50 commercial companies and other institutions linked to the nautical sector.
Last Monday, May 26, La Tortuga Foundation invited the municipal authorities and neighbors of Lechería to a meeting in the Technical Room of the Mayor’s Office of Urbaneja to present the projects that the environmental foundation is carrying out in various entities of the country and the use that will be made of its new headquarters located on Fermín Toro Street in the city.
On June 7 and 8, the "Sea Turtle Conservation Workshop" was held in the town of Rio Caribe, organized by the National Biodiversity Office of the Ministry of People’s Power for the Environment.
