Fundación La Tortuga joins the beautiful campaign of the organization "Tapas por Vidas" serving as a Collection Center. The plastic caps collected at our headquarters were sent to Valencia, where they were received and recycled to give smiles to children with cancer. Any plastic lid will do, no matter the size, color or shape...the only requirement is to be a plastic lid.

This first shipment was made on February 11 thanks to the alliance with the EagleBurgmann Company, who joined this cause and helped the Foundation by bringing the first 10 boxes of lids.

Who are Tapas por Vidas?

Tapas por Vidas is an initiative created by two young students of Social Communication in Valencia, Carabobo. It consists of the collection of plastic caps for their subsequent recycling, and the benefits obtained from the sale of the material go entirely to foundations that help children with cancer, with the objective of contributing economically in the realization of treatments and the purchase of necessary supplies.

Being a new initiative and in the process of growth, at the moment there is an agreement with Fundanica Carabobo to make the first donation, once a significant amount of caps for recycling is collected. However, the objective is to turn Tapas por Vidas into an organization that will extend its helping hand to various foundations that help children with cancer throughout the country. In addition, the project contributes to the environment by promoting a culture of recycling.

La Tortuga Foundation invites the entire community to join this beautiful cause that seeks to help a fragile population such as children suffering from this painful disease and at the same time to help the planet by removing so many plastic caps from their natural environment. It also reminds them that in its new headquarters is maintained the permanent Recycling Program, so the invitation is extended to participate in it by bringing in addition to the caps, plastic bottles of soda, water, paper, cardboard and aluminum containers.
